Mabel Iam made it to the Celebrity Authors List with the publication her book Sex & the Perfect Lover ( 2004), and has remained there on account of the successful and renowned “The Love Diet®”, which came out two years later. Mabel will be presenting her first short film called Life Suckers in April 2014. The script writer and co-director of this psychological drama is Carolina Laursen. Also participating as directors of this short film are David Chocarro and Diego Chiliano. Mabel stars as the mother in this film. Her character is high in intensity and she develops it with great depth and range’.

Life Suckers was inspired by Mabel’s self-help book of the same name, a book that explores emotional vampirism. It was this book that was the inspiration for this dramatization of a relationship between an overbearing and unyielding mother and a daughter deprived of her dream.
